The Librem 5 was the biggest disappointment. It turned me off to Purism entirely, and I had two of their laptops for a while.

What's the phone in the thumbnail? Don't see it in the article, but reminds me of the symbian os Nokia e7. One of the best phones I ever owned.

Fxtec pro1x.

I've owned both the pro1 and the pro1 x and I can't say I'm very satisfied with them. They're very expensive for the specs, and the modding support can be found elsewhere (nothing, for example, is very open to modding). My pro1's screen had QC issues and several bands lost the ability to register touch, the most egregious being the top of the screen (so it became impossible to pull the notifications bar). My pro1x's hasn't done that yet but I don't see how the screens are different.

I had bought them because I was a fan of the n97 mini, but it really turned me off keyboard phones.

Awww that's really too bad, but thanks for letting me know. What I would do to get some of the old Nokia phones with modern specs...
