Long time realdebrid user, currently using Fen lite, what's a good alternative to realdebrid?
Also just found out this community is on Lemmy now ๐๐

Rule 4: No low-effort posts/responses.
Users must put some effort into their posts like having a clear and descriptive post title, and including a brief summary about what the link in the post is about. As well as giving detailed information about whatever issue you are having in troubleshooting posts.
Responses must also have a minimum effort criteria. The classic "No." answer isn't enough, you are expected to write at least one sentence (i.e. "Sorry, it isn't possible". Failure to comply will result in offending comments being removed, and users reminded to put more effort into their response.
Rule 5: Include all troubleshooting information in troubleshooting posts.
In posts related to troubleshooting issues related to addons or Kodi please try to include all troubleshooting information in your post so people may better help you.

- Device: Nvidia Shield/FireTV, etc...
- Add-on affected: Exodus/Venom/Seren, etc...
- Version of Kodi: 17.6/18.2, etc...
- Version of add-on: 1.1.10/1.1.11, etc...
- Country: USA/Australia/UK, etc...
- Any support services: Real-Debrid/Premiumize/Trakt, etc...
- Link to a debug/error log.

There are a few posts on !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com but the gist of it is that RealDebrid is based in France and they got hit with an order to crack down on infringing content, they also ended up torching their API so the service is now useless for all Kodi addons which use it. Some of which are hardcoded to it.
Torbox seems to be the big recommend...
Not compatible with Fen light, I went with All debrid, seems to be working well.
Side note, Just read that the fen light dev quit apparently.
right after he fixed the RD issues... umbrella dev putting torbox support in
Umbrella seems to be a long time consistant addon. I just switched from Fen Light to it.
Yeah, with the API removal, it's pretty much useless for kodi at all.
Worst thing is that some addons had the Debrid service locked to use RealDebrid, so now those are effectively all broken. Many of their Devs and community members of the OG addons community insisted it would never happen and that people were being too paranoid.
Bought 7 Days of All Debrid. Seems fine so far.
Alldebrid is also based in France, so will likely get the same notice as RD. It remains to be seen whether they'd comply like RD has, but FNEF has taken filehosts to court before. RD arent naive to the fact their actions have completely hamstrung their business
Yep it's down. Only paid for the week version, so no big loss. Going to investigate torbox and premiumize tonight
I'm on premiumize, which is probably the most expensive option. But they don't restrict the number of devices, simultaneous access etc, which made it worth it for me since I share access with family (side note: I've done the same with RD long-term without much issue, just got a temp warning once).
I think Torbox will be the best option for most, but have only read into it without trying it. Premiumize torrenting seems faster than RD, but filehosters seem slower.
Interesting. I was having issues with Fen Light and RealDebrid, read that Fen Light is no longer recieving updates and figured that's the issue, switched to Umbrella with RealDebrid and everything started working fine again. Maybe my experience will degrade again soon.
I'll look into this Torbox and if I remember right Premiumize didn't allow a Privacy card.
Premiumize does allow crypto payments though.
