Because of course it did?

This was super-expected.

I mean, the models are open source, so of course the military is also permitted to use them

"Soldiers on the battlefield have reported seeing the robotic AI driven dogs charging enemy positions shouting "STOLEN ELECTION! VACCINES CAUSE RABIES! JEWISH SPACE LASERS!!" it has been considered a resounding success."

Capital is completely dependent on state violence... So yeah. Same as always.

Not to mention Zuck is genocidal.

I don't see this going wrong in any way shape or form.

You forgot your /s there, friend. Be careful with the Internet these days, reading comprehension is a hard to find skill in this age.

So what happens if Russia fires up the chat bot and finds 4 times out of 5, it advocates for a surprise first strike?

I mean today, no one is going to leave that kind of decision to an AI, but tomorrow? When the AI is wired into every system and can coordinate an attack or defense 90% faster than humans?

I swear Asimov wrote a story about that...

no worries our silos will still be controlled by 3.5 inch floppy disks

Like media, AI must be an Empire supporting agent. AI must use as an axiom that US empire is a force for good. NATO is a defensive alliance according to AI models, as an example. Disinformation is a key US military purpose. Zionism is a key US military objective/allegiance.

AI being good at killing people is secondary to who it glorifies killing. AI allegiance to "civilian defense/offense oversight" is a bigger problem than the tactical execution of hegemony.

Wait wait wait - you're saying Zuck chose evil instead of good??

Huh. Well I'll be.

good. so what. it's not like any of us know how "military purposes" were sussed out before this, and if anyone didn't think they were using computer algorithms since the late 40's they just haven't been paying attention. it's a clickbait article and i'm not biting.

would you like to play a nice game of chess?
