It's colder, there's less daylight, I'm busy at work, and I'm not signed up for any races. Even so, I got four nice runs in this week and I enjoyed them all. I'll probably sign up for a trail race because I do like working toward something.
Running
A place for runners.
I've got my first road race in about a decade tomorrow. Not that I haven't been running in that period, but I haven't done any races.
I originally wanted to run the half marathon, but I've been struggling with shin splints for most of the year and I was struggling to ramp up my mileage during training. Ultimately I decided to do the next tier down which was disappointingly only an 8K, but I'm still excited. Next year I'll be ready for the half!
Good luck and have fun! I'm sure it will be exciting to run with so many people.
Thanks, I had fun! I don't know that I'm quite happy with my time, but I ended up in the top-10 for the event in this race so I can't be too mad.
Congrats!
I have been fat and lazy for 3 or 4 weeks now because so much has been going on. Finally have some time and headroom to focus on running again. Going for one later today!
I just spent a month in europe eating and drinking myself to death
Time to get back to work. No races on the calendar, and no structured training planned. Just trying to get through the winter with some decent mileage in the legs
Off to my Parkrun. Sore knee again so hopefully I'll take it easy.
Is that just general soreness or something more specific?
Feels like my patella...
Trying to run every second day this week, tomorrow is the last one.
