The last post that was federated to LW is from three days ago, and I can't see the community at all via https://programming.dev/c/programmer_humor

The whole programming.dev site was severely broken in the last release last month, and so far hasn't been fixed.

Look at the other threads in this community

This community now seems to work for some reason, the others still don't

Site is completely broken. Really hope they get it it fixed. A lot of other communities are still broken and its been over 30 days.

Any ETA on when these issues might be fixed @Ategon@programming.dev @snowe@programming.dev?

Have you seen https://programming.dev/post/22352158 ?

The situation is indeed not ideal. Personnally, I recommend mods of impacted communities to migrate their communities to other instances like Lemmy.zip

It has been a month, everybody knows all people involved here are volunteers, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any solution coming soon

Theoretically remaking the community is the exact same as moving it to another instance since new communities arent affected. Everythings been getting worked on openly in the support channel on discord/matrix so if anyone wants to help can help get things fixed there

Wait, so if I create a new "programmer_humor" community, would it replace the old one? If yes, that's a bit concerning.

I know people can help, but most mods probably just want their communities to work and don't know enough about databases to help here

it cant have the same slug, just for the idea of remaking

it doesnt fully break communities, you just cant look at the page for the community and new people cant sub (but they can still be posted and read from). humor has still been active with posts while broken

next downtime hopefully should be soon to do another round of fixes

How can you read the community without accessing the community page, are you supposed to just use feeds?

It might not be "completely broken", but still quite broken

🤞

Yeah they appear in the feeds. So people primarily use it through sub and local sorts atm

Still seems quite annoying to not be able to access the community page.

I know you guys are doing your best, but it's been a month now, and if mods want a working community page, we should probably suggest them to recreate their communities on another instance

Been getting worked on, last downtime fixed some of the issues but script still needs to be adjusted a bit since some communities break again a bit after being fixed
