On Tuesday, she said in an interview with NBC News that she supported raising the minimum wage to at least $15 per hour

*Checks the inflation calculator real quick*

For this to have the same meaning now as it did in 2016 when they started football-lucy this line, they would have to increase it to $20 already distress

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 36 points 2 months ago (1 children)

she supported...

"Support" is such a dem weasel word.

"I, Donny Democrat, support raising the minimum wage to $15."

Will he do a single thing to make it happen? No.

[–] miz@hexbear.net 16 points 2 months ago

but history is dRiVeN bY iDeAs, not material conditions right? so voicing support is actually more important than doing anything if you really think about it provided you are a liberal moron

[–] edge@hexbear.net 25 points 2 months ago

We'll get that $15/hr minimum wage as soon as it equals $7.25/hr in 2016. Progress!

no you don't understand, she said at least so it could be more - libs spinning it.

Seriously what made anyone pick her to be vp and got us to this point

The optics of a young woman of color with enough political flexibility to be an Olympian to offset the ancient white guy with a history of racism/sexism in his political career who turned out to be just a few years shy of being too old to physically give speeches...

That is her entire campaign strategy.

Exactly like it was Hillarys entire strategy.

They have exhausted the benefit of the doubt, they would rather lose than do anything even remotely progressive.

I wish them luck.

I don’t have any receipts but I vaguely remember some liberals biting their nails about a possible liberal case for Trump when Bernie was winning.

Who was naive enough to believe Joe Biden's VP was going to be better than him? She's a prosecutor known for being needlessly cruel, for being poorly spoken, and she's best known for bowing out of an actual primary as she was getting put in the dirt BY Joe Biden as his brain was melting

These people subsist wholly on vibes outside of reality

If she was an average self-interested washington sicko, she could have, you know, done the usual song and dance of lying to voters. Its that part that breaks my mind, why not have the decency to lie even, why go full mask off over entity

Dems are the type of people that despite being terrible at the game, still think they can embarrass you by winning with Dan Hidiki.

Is clapping them every time really all that fun for the right?

Cool how every election for the past like 100 years has been showing how much further rightward the overton window can be pushed.

Really notable that M4A has been completely abandoned and nobody is even talking about improving Healthcare in this country.

[–] Infamousblt@hexbear.net 26 points 2 months ago

Improving things is impossible! We can only make the world worse faster or slower

I think people have just resigned themselves to the fact that shit ain't never getting better for the poor and it's come down to keeping literal nazis away from the "gas the untermensch" button for as long as possible.

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 21 points 2 months ago (1 children)

The "gas the untermensch" guy and his entire family endorsed kamala lol.

But Cheney nukes the middle east with C I V I L I T Y

[–] Collatz_problem@hexbear.net 10 points 2 months ago

And letting liberals press it instead.

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 8 points 2 months ago

The most optimistic I can see is that maybe some semi-based people in a state pass like universal healthcare or something.

But by and large burgerland is cooked and its people are whimpering to deepthroat the imperial boomerang.

In making her closing argument this month, Ms. Harris has campaigned four times with Liz Cheney, the Republican former congresswoman, stumping with her more than with any other ally. She has appeared more in October with the billionaire Mark Cuban than with Shawn Fain, the president of the United Auto Workers and one of the nation’s most visible labor leaders.

Cool

smuglord: “What are they gonna do? Vote Republican?”

YES! Many of them WILL! I won’t, but protest votes are literally a thing!
