Or the same mfs when they're trans in Italy

This one was a bit harder to find a gotcha for because practically all European countries had decriminalised homosexuality by the 60's - Some of them twice! Due to i-am-adolf-hitler

Funnily enough homosexuality has been decriminalised in Turkey since the late 1800's (according to NATOpedia)
This map doesn't really show the continued persecution and is a bit more vague, but I dunno this is almost just a shit post anyway.

Cuba has the most progressive LGBTQ laws around, can Cuba just nuke most of Europe? (Yes, but not just because of da gays)

Hungarian society in Europe is about 1000 years old, yet you don't see libs saying that they should be exterminated like they do for Palestinians in Gaza, curious very-intelligent

How the fuck do trans people in the uk have "Broad protection from discrimination"?? A transgender minor was murdered here and it wasn't considered a hate crime, the government is considering outlawing education about trans people in schools, it's illegal to distribute puberty blockers, all of the national gender clinics have been closed, and the most famous person in the country spends all her life advocating for our extermination

~~This map is labeled "LGB" with the "T" dropped. The map would probably look worse if those stats were added.~~

I'm not the brightest, it's in the link 😅

posted the map with the "T" in the body text
Somehow the UK isn't a hellscape

It's bullshit.

It's basically "if a trans person gets beaten up, the courts would actually treat that as a hate crime" and that's it.

Fuck all else. Good luck getting protection from workplace, landlord, healthcare or other discriminations.

Having a legal protection that lets you colour in a map a certain way does not actually translate into realworld protection.

If they yelled slurs during the attack. Maybe.

Germany doesn't have broad protection from discrimination for any marginalized group, let alone queer people who aren't even constitutionally protected. Our anti-discimination law only exists in the first place due to EU rulings, is extremely lacking compared to other EU members and the liberals have spent the last 3 years blocking a reform that would actually make it a credible threat to bigots.

[–] REgon@hexbear.net 11 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Yeah this map isn't as good as the other one, because you have to actually explain how the "law against discrimination" or whatever each country is classified as, usually isn't actually protecting lgbtq people

[–] AcidSmiley@hexbear.net 12 points 3 weeks ago

Unlike our constitution, our anti-discrimination law actually protects queer people, but the burden of proof that you've been discriminated is high enough to be useless most of the time and the damn thing isn't even applicable when you've been discriminated by government institutions.

"you'd be thrown off a roof in Gaza for being trans" mfs who don't even recognise the existence of trans people

[–] Hexamerous@hexbear.net 8 points 3 weeks ago

Age, gender, neurotypical, sexuality it doesn't matter. We don't do that. Our bombs are indiscriminate, sweety.

They have trans rights as a separate window, probably because of terfs hating trans people, but being somewhat nicer to other queer people in some places

Speaking of Cuba, isn't Israel also one of the few countries alongside US that consistently votes against lifting the blockade on Cuba? I guess going by their logic US and Israel hates gays.

In addition to being questionably accurate this is just plain bad visualization. Quick, tell me all the countries with limited protections!

They just ranked every option and put it on a default color gradient. Useless turkeys.
