Dying doesn't sound great, and neither does aging, but it's unfortunate that just about any life extension technology will, in our present system, be used first, foremost, and likely exclusively to keep the worst people around longer.
For the apologists out there that want to run interference for the techbros, first of all please don't, but secondly, the belief that it will trickle down is a time honored 
dubious claim. Fucking insulin costs penny per liter to produce and look at the prices of it now; you think techbros will sell life extension materials to the poor for any less of a profit margin?
