And then sometimes, just sometimes, the moon gets jealous of the sun. The sun being the provider of light, and makes all life on earth possible. The moon gets jealous of the sun, and stands between the earth and the sun, completely blocking it from earth's line of sight.

And sometimes, just sometimes, ok actually just the one time, a president of the united states see's this happen, is told not to look at it with his naked eyes, and IMMEDIATELY looks at it with his naked eyes. He's then shown suffering in pain trying to force himself to look at it. And this guy at the time, was president of the most powerful nation on earth. He had ultimate authority over the largest arsonal of nuclear weapons at a moments notice if he so chose. And he's too stupid not to look at an eclipse. He was the "leader of the free world".

Humans are weird.
