THE FART OF THE MEAL

The recording, obtained by The Guardian, apparently comes from a private meal Trump held Aug. 10 in Aspen, Colorado. In it, the Republican presidential nominee reportedly recalled a meeting with the wife of Corey Comperatore, the man who was killed by shots fired at Trump by Thomas Crooks at a Pennsylvania rally in July.

“So they’re going to get millions of dollars but the woman, the wife, this beautiful woman, I handed her the check—we handed her the check—and she said, ‘This is so nice, and I appreciate it, but I’d much rather have my husband.’ Now I know some of the women in this room wouldn’t say the same,” Trump reportedly said. “At least four couples here would have been thrilled, actually.”

The dinner attendees then chuckled and continued eating their dinner comprised of dogs, cats, and all variety of other Republican pets.

Isn't that just a rip off of Joan Rivers joke after 9/11? Crass and inappropriate, yes but its more a joke about the divorce rate than directed at the tragedy itself.

I mean, this joke is at least coherent. This is a nothing burger. If anyone is allowed to make jokes about an assassination attempt, would it not be the person they were trying to kill? I donfeel bad for the wife that its been released, as she likely wants no more attention.

Joan Rivers is a comedian, Donald Trump is running for reelection for arguably the most powerful job in the world, we're allowed to hold them to different standards

I completely agree. However, if its acceptable for a comedian it's much less serioisnthan his many other faults.

This is one to add to the pile, but not a big issue.

It's just him telling us all, yet again, that he cares for nobody besides himself.

Of course he did, had to make a crass joke about some victim or other. SMH. We will have failed as a nation, as human beings, if we let him anywhere near a position of responsibility, by any definition of that word.

To no one’s surprise. He’s a cunt.

Hmm, not projection exactly, but trying to soothe his ego by pretending it's normal how Melania feels about him?

I hope we can all do the same for him soon.
