This is West Creek Falls pictured during normal times, the water flowing there now is a lot more and enough to drown a 24 year old man. Be careful out there.

Are there more outdoors/hiking fatalities this year, or am I just hearing more about them? There seem to be a lot lately.

There are a lot every year, though more often it is rock climbing accidents.

We have had a lot of river and water fatalities early into the season.
