A place to talk about living in a sustainable way. The focus here is on individual lifestyles, not big technological fixes. Things like growing and cooking your own produce, repairing instead of replacing, and reusing instead of throwing away.

This is a friendly and collaborative community, for people who want to work towards improving the sustainability of their lifestyles. Everyone who is working towards that goal is welcome here, no matter what point you are starting at.

I hate how much trash I make with my deodorant and body spray.

Currently I use old spice deodorant and body spray. I would like to find a more sustainable option for both, without going broke.

I tried Wild, my first stick lasted less than a month, and shipping took a month.

Open to any suggestions you may have.

I use Routine deodorant. It comes in glass jars and last a very long time. Just put a little on your finger and rub it on. Works very well.

I've grown to love Grove's Peach branded Cedarwood/Eucalyptus deodorant

The dispenser is aluminum and new sticks come clad in recyclable aluminum.

They also carry other brands like Humble and HiBar, which I haven't tried, but do come with paper packaging.

In terms of body spray, my suggestion is get an actual cologne and save it for special occasions. You don't need to be constantly exploding with fragrances - it's frankly probably doing you more harm than good.
