There is no socialist party anywhere in Europe, just confused Keynesians daydreaming about MMT
because they are not socialists
The French Socialist party is about as socialist as the SPD in Germany
The "Socialist Party" are succdems at best, i.e. liberals.
Splitting then away from the coalition would be an enormous win for Macron
not that i'd deny the allegations of them being social democrats, but they wouldn't have sufficient votes with them either

The NFP doesn't have a majority so not sure if it would be worth trying?
