On my old Galaxy S7, the text would periodically move to different spots on the screen. Is there a way to do that on the Pixel 7?

Edit: Thank you everyone for your feedback, I'm going to use the AOD as is.

If you watch it for awhile, I believe it slightly moves the display once a minute or so to prevent burn-in. I think it might also turn off the display in your pocket. So really, most of the time it's on is while you're sleeping; and that's at super-low brightness.

I've always used it all the way back to my OG Pixel XL, and never had burn-in.

Yep, AOD on WearOS works the exact same way by moving the display ever so slightly in order to prevent burn-in.

Although I hear this has changed from being a system-level thing to a responsibility on the developer (so take caution with third party watch faces), but I don't currently have a primary source for that so take it with a grain of salt.

I've been using the AOD for the last year with 0 issues, so I'm not too concerned

One tip is to leave the phone face down when you aren't gonna look at it for a long period of time, as the aod will turn itself off

Using the pixel 6 since may last year. The always on display hasn't burned in whilst my notification area and homebar have. The notification area having burned in is due to me having my brightness at max all of the time. Under normal usage it probably won't happen that quickly.

Not an expert, but I gather the power of the aod is too little to cause burn in
