“drag to the left kicking and screaming” was the weird turn of phrase that was always used. Seemingly always by people that had never tried to convince their old ass relatives of literally anything.
In all reality it probably isn't even true either. When Trump took office membership and activity of left wing organizations exploded. It was so much easier to organize people into a state of rebellion when they couldn't pretend things were fine under Trump than it has been under Biden.

But Dems are also the ones that do worse genocide over here, despite rhetoric! Obama and Biden both deported more people than GWB or Trump. Obama built the ICE concentration camps, not the republicans.
White people have a very long history of voting in a way that throws PoC under the bus as long as whites get policies they support. These PoC are usually defined to be outside the nation itself. I refuse to continue reproducing this phenomenon. I will not vote to eradicate my Palestinian brothers and sisters. Straight up.
This was one of the reasons american communists organizations/labor protests failed. So it should not be underemphasized by united statian comrades.
Another thing: in a settler colonial project the primary issue isn't class struggle, it's the settler colonialism. How is a communist going to declare the land and resources of that land for the proletariats, when the proletariats are either settlers or descendants of settlers depending on the time.
The land and resources belong to the indigenous, not to the "proletariats" in that case.
Fictional genocide that may happen under x is more important than genocide thats happening right now with the full support of y!
