It's almost like the Israelis keep them concentrated, in camps. You might even call them "concentration camps."

Israel has decided to kill the negotiators representing the Palestinians so that they can continue destroying Palestinian people and their homes. Netanyahu is holding onto power by extending the war and escalating the violence. The decision of the Israelis to elect him may lead to a regional war should the country begin fighting Iran.

Oh ya, definitely. I was just being ironic by using their same phrasing to represent kidnapped Palestinians instead.

Maybe they should just murder the hostage negotiators, that will help get them freed.

Just gonna put that there, since it seems some people are missing the meaning of your comment.

All those newborn babies?

Believe it or not…. Hamas

[–] Goodie@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago

Gotta ask yourself how Israel has hostages to exchange on "day 1" of "this" conflict

[–] N0body@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Netanyahu either needs to negotiate the release of the hostages and return of Palestinian children as part of a ceasefire immediately, or there needs to be a vote of no confidence in his government.

the whole Hamas plan was to attack, kidnap, negotiate release of people in prisons.

However, they thought that IDF care about the hostages, and that Hannibal Directive is no longer taught. What follow was IDF destroying any cars leaving back to gaza with hostages. Attacking and destroying any home or location hamas was holding hostage in, blaming every death on Hamas then go into a genocidal war in Gaza.

When two hostages with white flags get shot by IDF in the first few weeks you know the plan never to negotiate anything.

They only negotiate when they dont get money or weapon from their allies, however the united state and uk continue to support them so why negotiate?

[–] lolcatnip@reddthat.com 2 points 3 months ago

Why not both?

[–] charade_you_are@sh.itjust.works 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

At least they haven't outright killed them yet. Progress.

[–] lolcatnip@reddthat.com 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I see no progress, just Israelis understanding that the world is a lot more likely to overlook their genocide if they do it slowly enough.

[–] charade_you_are@sh.itjust.works 1 points 3 months ago

It was sarcasm.

I’m this close to being antisemitic bro

Oh do be careful with that. Being anti-zionist is normal, plenty of Jewish people are (see: Jewish Voice for Peace). Antisemitism, is different story since it's a kind of racism with a dark history, to say the least.

[–] Doom@ttrpg.network 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Probably a bad joke on how any criticism of Israel makes one antisemitic

[–] solo@slrpnk.net 3 points 3 months ago

I like your clarification, totally on board with that.
