What is geoscience?

Geoscience (also called Earth Science) is the study of Earth. Geoscience includes so much more than rocks and volcanoes, it studies the processes that form and shape Earth's surface, the natural resources we use, and how water and ecosystems are interconnected. I've never heard anyone refere to it as a comet before, it was always an asteroid.

I think comets have predictable paths for long periods of time so they show up again and again, like Haley’s comet

Ah, and asteroids are just kinda out there floating around without orbiting any specific thing?
