[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 32 points 3 months ago

Trump disappears for a week then comes back and he's using therapy language to talk about the wondeful boaters and the bad hombres.

Casual US war crimes

CW: war crimesSome of those photographs, especially those taken of casualties from 2005 through 2008, show deceased enemy combatants with their skulls split open by a rifle or pistol round at the upper forehead, exposing their brain matter. The foreign fighters who suffered these V-shaped wounds were either killed in battle and later shot at close range or finished off with a security round while dying. Among members of SEAL Team 6, this practice of desecrating enemy casualties was called “canoeing.”

Does anyone else think he just doesnt want to do this shit anymore? he never truly cared about a wall of any of that shit, he just wanted what was good for himself and his ego.

I think people like stephen miller wanted the fucking wall and immigration shit more than trump did. Hes still a piece of shit dont get me wrong, i just think he said what people like stephen miller told him would help him win and make his base worship him more

theres a story that dip shit lindsey graham tells about how trump was amenable to a daca agreement, then a bit later on stephen miller got in his ear and thats when he said the "why do we want people from shithole countries coming here?" comment and then rejected the deal.

i guess that was just a tldr to say trump has always been a puppet for freaks like stephen miller to me.

i wish stephen miller was called out more.

Not an original thought, but I really think would have loved having a title in a government that doesn't have a solitary chief executive. If he got to be like, the American version of the isntrael president that just gets to cut ribbons and throw handsome football player hamburger parties feast-1feast-2 and have a prime minister that does all the actual government stuff, he'd be like the happiest person alive. His perfect dream job is a fake no-show presidency where he just takes pictures smiling and shaking hands with famous big guys and hosting Our Favorite President's Tremendous Talk Show where he's basically Regis Philbin or Joan Rivers doing a Letterman kinda late night show.

[–] GrouchyGrouse@hexbear.net 12 points 3 months ago (1 children)

He's the most American guy ever and in burgerland everyone loves gaudy distractions and treats and being told they are a good boy.

Trump would take that deal in a heartbeat.

he doesn't want to wind up as a confirmed loser, which will mean he won't make money when it happens, and he almost got killed for it

he's fucking done and he's starting to realise it

[–] Egon@hexbear.net 10 points 3 months ago

He started the campaign to promote a book. he used to be friendly with the Clinton's, I wouldn't be surprised if they decided on doing the pied piper strategy together

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 51 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I think he's just more upset that people aren't doting on him 24/7 for almost getting clapped

[–] OrionsMask@hexbear.net 49 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I love how everyone stopped caring within the week. It's kind of amazing.

[–] LocalOaf@hexbear.net 41 points 3 months ago (1 children)

a-little-trolling I did everything right, and they shot at meeeee

sicko-crowdsicko-crowdsicko-crowd

Whatever man this shit's boring, who cares

[–] OrionsMask@hexbear.net 32 points 3 months ago

The cynic in me thinks that once everyone realised that Trump survived AND the shooter was a Republican and not a Democrat obsessed communist, there was no reason to keep it in the news cycle. But you just know that if there was the slightest scent of leftism on him, we'd still be hearing about it to this day.

[–] Mindfury@hexbear.net 30 points 3 months ago

simply cannot believe the dems actually RNG'd into the greatest strategic play of all time

the absolute certainty that he had it in the bag after surviving an assassination attempt was hamstrung immediately by the fact that they could, in fact, stop committing elder abuse on a dementia patient

[–] Feinsteins_Ghost@hexbear.net 48 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Imagine how disliked you really have to be when a bullet nearly turns your head into a canoe, and people just collectively shrug it off.

[–] Assian_Candor@hexbear.net 35 points 3 months ago

The overwhelming sentiment expressed was "how could he miss?!"

[–] HelluvaBottomCarter@hexbear.net 49 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Libs are now bullying our first neurodivergent president.

Barry was exceedingly normalobama-spike

[–] What_Religion_R_They@hexbear.net 36 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Just imaging him sitting like this sad-boi rewatching the clip on his phone in a dark room and taking another swig.

Actually not imagining it. I'm manifesting it.

[–] Egon@hexbear.net 8 points 3 months ago

Is he filled with dread, knowing how close the reaper came, or regret that he was not allowed the final rest?

[–] Black_Mald_Futures@hexbear.net 35 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I can't imagine a Republican saying "they legit may have ptsd" of anyone, ever

[–] kristina@hexbear.net 18 points 3 months ago (1 children)

yeah this sounds like something a democrat wine mom would say

[–] Tachanka@hexbear.net 18 points 3 months ago

Democrat wine moms are famously married to republicans so it checks out

[–] SkolShakedown@hexbear.net 15 points 3 months ago

it's tragic, but some republicans are known to be relatively personable.

I never thought one of the leopards would get strapped and try to rip my face off from a distance, not even to eat it, just for like, fun or something trump-kaneki

[–] ultraviolet@hexbear.net 23 points 3 months ago

he's just like me frfr

[–] driving_crooner@lemmy.eco.br 22 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Don't believe shit of those words. Can only hope are true, and that he spends the rest of his pathetic life watching that clip over and over. In a fever dream, he's even doing it inside a cell.

[–] Leon_Grotsky@hexbear.net 40 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Trump has lived such a charmed life up until this point, there is no way he could have conceived of a world where someone would shoot at him.

I totally believe that the assassination attempt completely shattered his perspective.

[–] OrionsMask@hexbear.net 23 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Being real, it's much, much stranger to imagine a scenario in which an assassination attempt doesn't shake someone to the core. I'm just glad that it broke him rather than turning the maniac dial.

[–] robot_dog_with_gun@hexbear.net 16 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I imagine Fidel got used to them

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 23 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

The difference here being, Fidel literally fought for his beliefs. Trump is a billionaire who has had everything handed to him

[–] FugaziArchivist@hexbear.net 21 points 3 months ago

could the GOP have capitalized on the wake of the shooting more? Did they botch the messaging? Everyone thought that fist-pump photo was his guaranteed ticket back to the white house. I guess it doesn't matter since (1) we live in the United States of Amnesia, says Gore Vidal. And (2) Trump has checked out anyway

[–] anarchoilluminati@hexbear.net 18 points 3 months ago

mccrucified

As he always said, he's sacrificing himself and his nice life for this nation of poor losers. And they almost blew his head off for it despite loving him. He must realize even his loyal base is so fucking batshit that they'd kill his ass too and his Secret Service is so fucking incompetent they can't even stop it. Nowhere to turn except back to his room to eat McDonald's fish sandwiches and watch TV in silence contemplating the very real possibility that he, too, may be a loser. He might just die from that. Sucks to suck, Donny Boy.

[–] Egon@hexbear.net 14 points 3 months ago

I get it, he feels like he almost died. That can get to you.

Makes it all the more funny that his supporters are plastering that fistpump photo everywhere, it must infuriate him

[–] bbnh69420@hexbear.net 13 points 3 months ago

[–] shath@hexbear.net 10 points 3 months ago

he is BIG and WET (he is currently sobbing)

[–] roux@hexbear.net 10 points 3 months ago

PTSD is a mental health issue and by his own words, he should just die. Sorry I don't make the rules.
