I disagree with the meme, simply because the Simpsons are the more endearing choice here, I think. Flanders was always this weird religious and hyperprotectic guy.

Republicans are very much not endearing at all.

Right? Maggie goes to the swamp family.

Flanders is especially bad in this episode. Trying to baptize your next-door neighbors' (or anyone's) kids without their consent is fucked up and a reason to bar the Flanderses from ever fostering children again.

Fun concept, but in the episode, she still winds up choosing the swamp people.

I mean, if you're going to overthink a meme, at least get it right within the repurposed context. She technically went third party when Marge showed up. Obviously, that wasn't the intended meaning of this shitpost, as I would've included that frame if it were, but hey, you wanted to nitpick.

If the internet isn’t for nitpicking then I don’t know what we’re here for

Porn. And cat pictures.

Technically you can't even pick nits over the Internet, that's still a direct ape to ape activity

And my axe!

Honestly, I like having the third panel, but make the swamp people RFK and Marge Harris.

Everybody love Mamala.

If I had been a Senator and an astronaut, I'd definitely prefer the title astronaut. Still, way better than some random loser on the internet.

I mean it's not so much "had been" as it just is, since he's currently a senator.

He's also the one of the 2 who wouldn't be shot as a bipartisan agreement. Fuck Sinema with a rake sideways.
