What's this? Remake? I loved the live actions.

They are remaking the anime. The first season aired last year and took the story up until Kenshin is ready to depart to Kyoto to start the Shishio arc. The second season starts airing in October.

I believe this is the best way to consume the Kenshin story. The movies are truly excellent and help streamline the story a lot. These movies have probably the best live-action swordfighting in any movie(s) I have ever seen.
