Yeah, it was literally one "cycle", it's right about time for people to start getting trading in their phone and getting the new version that they got the Pass for.
I don't need a new phone every year, but I liked the security of the Pass idea, similar to Apple's plan.
Who knows why Google does these things. I doubt they know.

As a pixel user in rarely play games on phone.
This isn't related to the Google Play Pass, if that's what you're thinking. Pixel Pass was a subscription for the actual hardware, not for apps.
