A rare moment where I regret having disabled all the NVIDIA stuff that lets me screen record. Space storms! Wtf? Since when do we get storms in space?

The planet it was happening around was type 'shrouded in ash'. Was this a glitch, or a feature? As soon as I got to the system, I thought I was in a space battle at first with all the booms and flashes. There was a weird sort of smoke around the planet, blue lightning sparking all around it.

Lost footage is a bummer, can I suggest OBS, though? I tried using Geforce whateverthefuck for recording and it was fucking terrible. OBS takes slightly more setup, but at least then actually does its job.

Good suggestion. I've got some experience with OBS (used it to stream my screen for production tutorials), it's a bit complex at first but really powerful.

Totally agree with how bad GeForce Now can be... It even overrides my mouse acceleration settings in windows. However if your on windows and still might using the game bar, you can set up a shadow recording (last 30 seconds or so) or just simply record with it.

Thanks for the tip... I think I disabled that game bar too (when not gaming I use my PC for making music, so anything which might interfere with ASIO requests is a big no)!

I've found a few videos of people experiencing these space storms so prob not going to add another, let people experience it for themsleves and feel the awe :)

New update happened, maybe something with that?

I just did some duckduckgo-ing and found a post from a year ago. Must be quite a rare event, tbf I don't play as heavily as I used to but would've thought I would have seen it before now.

They’ve been around for a while now, since the waypoint update I think… maybe even endurance.

As far as I’m aware they can happen anywhere in space. Most ppl don’t notice them because they don’t really appear unless you stop and stay in the same place for a minute or 2.

Weird! Not seen that happen - yet
