lockpicking increased by +300%

Puts lockpick into tumbler; door/chest just explodes into splinters

Pickpocketing increased by +300%

Pickpockets 3000 gold from a dude who only has 30.

Pickpockets 3000 gold from a dude who only has 30.

That sounds vaguely capitalist.

you pickpocket him and he becomes indebted to you because he didn’t have all the money you wanted

[–] Maalus@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

You pickpocket the credentials to his bank account.

If by "vaguely" you mean "300%"

I know you're probably kidding but it's 300% of the player's current skill, not the total overall skill possible.

So for example if you're at a 15/100 in lock picking it becomes 45/100.

What if it's already 100? With +300%, now it's 400. Pretty sure there's a limit anyway, despite what the numbers say. I know that's true for armor value. Even with the number in the trillions, you still only block up to 85% of the total incoming damage.

It's not as fun as Oblivion or Morrowind where you can do shit like make enchanted armor that, in total, Reflects 125% of all incoming damage, meaning you are immortal and everything attacking you takes more damage than they output. 🤣

How did you get stats that high?

[–] TexMexBazooka@lemm.ee 24 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Good ole alchemy enchanting loop. Make an outfit with the fortify alchemy enchantment, then make a fortify enchanting potion, then make another set of fortify alchemy, rinse repeat.

You can go as high as you want.

You can go as high as you want.

If that's not the sign from the universe, I don't know what is.

Tbh, those are rookie numbers. You can get them WAY higher if you cheese the enchantment loop exploit more aggressively. And I mean like millions of percent.

How the hell did you put 3 effects

My guess is a mod. If you're not using mods (which specific ones being a matter of taste and playstyle), you're not doing Bethesda games right. That's not just me saying it, it's the law.
