I feel like this is a smart move by Donald because we’re still in this fugue state where we’re almost certain Kamala is the nominee but we’re not even sure, and the DNC is literally 3 weeks away with the actual election fast approaching lmao. Nobody has seen Kamala on the campaign trail, people barely know her and the debate would be giving her added publicity.

On the other hand it might be a good thing for her, noone knows her so she’s just some generic Dem candidate vs bigbad baby that you can just VoteBlue for

Man, it's so depressing over in the lib verse.. Top comments are All about how they need to steel themselves against the Harris negativity sure to come, that all negativity is astroturf, to have faith and vote the fascism away!

They have a brief window where leftists haven't consolidated critiques of their chosen one so they're trying to spend that time inoculating people. I saw someone on mastodon try to be all "watch out for the VP critique - it's the next thing people are going to try to use to justify not voting for her" just nakedly trying to get out ahead of a Josh Shapiro pick.
