Thought I should mention that I write software, and a pileup of bugs and feature requests absolutely is appreciating software :) It might feel demanding or overbearing to those that don't code, but it's totally normal.
When you submit a bug or a suggestion, simply state what you're looking for and try to keep emotions at bay. Don't say how "annoyed" you are or how the world is ending. You can also follow up with polite status updates, but don't be mean or demanding if a dev hasn't prioritized your issue, yet.
