MODERATORS
I like to do the opposite in fighting games, making sure to try and make an underused fighter shine. Also, take care and get well!
Fighting games are different, you can spend your whole life trying to unlock tech that you can just look up in 2 seconds, and when everyone you're fighting has already done that research, it's the only practical way to proceed. IMO just play the character you like and from there the fun is in unlocking their abilities. I've been playing SF6 as my first fighting game I'm taking "seriously" and it's a lotta fun.
