I mean, it's not too much of a stretch! Balancing your inputs and outputs.

There's also exposure/interfacing with piping design, which you'll feel right at home in if you enjoy good factorio belt routing

I highly recommend considering process eng or piping design to anyone who likes factorio

Well, i once played factorio, downloaded pyanodon's mod. It quickly became so complex i figured you need degree in chemical engineering to complete it. Am now studying chemical engineering

Studying will probably help you finish the mod faster. 450hrs into THAT mod alone. I'd be finished by now, but these bottlenecks need fixing first!
