Sometimes if I type “LOL”, but I didn’t laugh out loud, I’ll do a quiet little chuckle so I’m not technically a liar.

I can’t blow bubbles in bubblegum beyond a sad little pea sized thing.

I can’t snap my fingers either.

I think The Last Jedi is the fourth best Star Wars film, behind only the original trilogy.

Finger snapping is misleading. The sound does not come from your fingers moving against each other but from your middle finger hitting the meaty base of your thumb and ring finger.

Once I knew that it was much easier to snap my fingers. Hopefully that helps you too!

But then why does it sound so different if I take my thumb out of the motion and just slap the same spot with my finger?

Your thumb provides the resistance necessary for your finger to hit at the speed that it does.

Your muscles ram up in strength over time. By pushing against your thumb, your finger muscle has built up the strength to push your finger at the higher speed needed.
