Maybe the charger is “free” to use for the renters, but every unit pays a little more each month to offset it. It would make sense if everyone drove EVs, but that’s obviously not the case.
I’m guessing it’s just coming off the shared strata power meters, and isn’t being billed back to the users. Effectively everyone is paying for those users.
Yeah, I'd be pissed about that.
