I wanted this (and the wheel) so badly!!

There are still force-feedback steering wheels! Assetto Corsa with a wheel and VR headset is pretty amazing.

I wanted this so bad until my work commute became a 1.5 hour drive each way. Now I just want cars to fuck off and leave me alone.

I'm still curious about the wheel setup and if it feels natural though.

I'm still curious about the wheel setup and if it feels natural though.

I just have a Logitech controller, so basically an entry-level wheel. It feels good enough to be able to tell when your wheels start skidding and that you can react accordingly. It's very immersive and also helps you drive better.

There are more expensive $1000+ setups that are supposed to be more realistic, but I could never justify that.

For what it's worth I hate driving in traffic, but there's something meditative about listening to a podcast and trying to beat my time on the nurburgring.

Have tracked and drifted and can say the modern wheels feel close enough that your reflexes transfer over very well.
