its not that they aren't interesting, I guess the tone shift was harder for me to get over. that and the story going on after the death of one of the key characters who I won't name was hard too

Man, I really need to listen to the books I think. I love the story too much not to.

The story is great regardless, but there is a definate shift between the hyper realism I fell in love with in the early books, vs the protomolecule Sci fi of the later books - it was all necessary to close the story and the funky Miller chapters were some of the best, but there was defo the sense of getting to the ending for the ending's sake

If there was ever another shot at completing the series I'd be first in line, but in its current state I can't recommend watching beyond season 5

The side characters really did shine in the early tv seasons though - cara gee as a meld of drummer/pa was fantastic, the belter creole was iconic. Wes as Amos was perfect, Cas as Alex was (initially) great, Dominique as naiomi switching between belter creole/common was awesome - it was a shame the series suffered cause Cas was a pig, but I can't blame Amazon for covering their ass
