Former president Donald Trump disseminated on social media on Friday an image of President Biden with his hands and feet tied and his mouth gagged, the latest example of the Republican candidate’s use of increasingly violent rhetoric and imagery this campaign season.

The image can be seen about halfway through a 20-second video that Trump posted on his Truth Social site. The post says it was recorded Thursday on Long Island, where Trump traveled this week to attend a wake for a recently killed police officer.

In the video, two trucks decorated with giant Trump flags and altered American flags are driving on a highway. On the tailgate door of one of the trucks is the image of Biden lying horizontally, bound and gagged.

Trump has a history of sharing and promoting violent images featuring his perceived enemies.

You're not opposing the war lmao, you're standing by it's biggest proponent and buying Israeli propaganda like it's half off. You're a clown.

I just... it's hard to wrap my head around the gymnastics you all are doing here.

War is always bad. I don't support any war at all, even if it's declared by someone I support.

Because I have some knowledge of what has happened in the region over the past fifty years and more, I would sooner vote for Biden than Trump. Trump is also a zionist and many times more supportive of Netanyahu's hateful warmongering than Biden or any other US president has ever been. We can be opposed to some of a person's actions while also celebrating all the good things they've done. I have always been opposed to Biden as president because of the things he did as a senator in the 90s. And don't get me started on his age and the threat of Harris being president. Still, he's what we've got now.

Regardless, I don't know why people keep changing the subject to this war. This war or the other war have nothing to do with our courts or our freedoms or our education system or our healthcare or our polluted environment. Our own country is literally falling apart, not due to war but because people keep voting on one issue they currently feel strongly about. This is why our congress is so polarized and failing to get anything done. Voting Trump into office is going to be the end of democracy. His own former cabinet members are urging people not to vote for him. Hard core conservative judges are afraid of what he' going to do. people not to vote for him. The adults in the room are looking at The United States of America and begging its citizens to save the country.

You all need to get your heads out of your asses and take a look at your own front yard. This is an extremely dire election year.

I guess Americans just don't give a shit about America anymore. And it's really fucking sad and frustrating.

The adults in the room

definitely, voters caring very strongly about not doing genocide is why this democracy is falling apart.

The adults in the room are praying for the US to collapse and balkanise ASAP. Even if Biden wins, the best case scenario for the world is for the US to die. Even if the Dems win the next 10 consecutive elections in a row, the US deserves to die.

Your country is an experiment based on "Hey what if we don't want to pay taxes to the British but are ok with building on stolen land with slave labour for the purposes of (some) white guys getting the ability to get extremely rich???"

Its a failed experiment. The best argument against the existence of a just god is that your nation has not been smote out of existence by the hand of the divine.

Tomorrow, if every politician, businessman and government agent that dictates how your country is run got amnesia, and every reference and memory of your laws, your wretched constitution and how your government operates magically erased from existence, I have no doubt in my body that the ensuring nation(s) that spring up in its place will be not only better for the citizens, but better for the whole world.

It would have fewer children gunned down in places where they should be safe, fewer people dying from rationing insulin, fewer people selling their plasma just to not die from exposure, fewer minorities and family pets executed by agents of your government in the street, fewer citizens poisoned by plastic and lead in their water, and fewer people half a planet away murdered by your troops or your bombs.

A better future is possible, but it's not from festering like maggots the the corpse of your dying empire.

P.s.: Free Palestine.

I don’t disagree that the US is a failed experiment. Because Trump even has a chance to win another election is enough evidence of that.

[–] corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net 15 points 7 months ago (1 children)

THAT is what you think evidence is?

[–] oxjox@lemmy.ml 1 points 7 months ago (2 children)

Yes. It points to our disregard for a proper social support system. Our freedoms and a free market economy trump the country’s best interests. The states have too much power while the nation lacks enough.

[–] corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net 10 points 7 months ago (1 children)

You should have led with that

[–] BurgerPunk@hexbear.net 7 points 7 months ago

Its still not that good lol

[–] BurgerPunk@hexbear.net 8 points 7 months ago

You would think the fact its founded on genocide, continues to support genocide, and runs an imperialist world order that exploits and impovershes the global south may be better evidence

[–] ElChapoDeChapo@hexbear.net 26 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I guess Americans just don't give a shit about America anymore.

I don't give a shit about amerikkka, fuck amerikkka amerikkka

And it's really fucking sad and frustrating. you-think-this-is-funny

LMAO, cry about it more loser joker-troll

Joe Biden has been supporting Israel for 50 years. You aren't angry about Joe Biden's support for Israel. Shut the fuck up

[–] oxjox@lemmy.ml 1 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Every (modern) president has been supportive of Israel. We’ve been sending them billions every year for 50 years. Biden isn’t going to fix this and Trump will without doubt be immeasurably worse.

Everyone here keeps claiming I like Biden. I started this whole thing by saying I would I sooner support a Biden I dislike even more before I would support Trump. I don’t know why it’s difficult to grasp disliking one person and disliking another person even more and choosing the better of two evils. This is a very basic concept. Although, to be honest, as much as I dislike Biden for so many thing's he's done or hasn't done, I have to admit he has far exceeded anyone's expectations. I don't like him but I respect the job he has done.

Have people just forgotten that we had a President Trump? That he was impeached twice. That he’s a convicted sex assailant. That he set into place increased taxes for the middle class. That he manipulated our legal system and seated the most conservative judges ever across this country. That he tried to interfere with our election and overturn the results. That he has brought unwarranted doubt to our electoral process. Republicans and conservatives are trying to take this guy down. I can not imagine how horribly evil or brain dead someone must be to consider this guy.

[–] Swoosegoose@hexbear.net 7 points 7 months ago

You've proven my point, you talking about how much you respect a genocidal Zionist tells us all we need to know about how "angry" you are. Eat shit you genocidal worm.

[–] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 23 points 7 months ago (1 children)

What you're experiencing isn't difficulty understanding our gymnastics. We're not doing any. Genocide is one of the most horrible and evil things humans can do, and Joe Biden is making it happen. Therefore voting for him is tantamount to doing one of the most horrible and evil things humans can do. You're having difficulty with your own gymnastics, twisting yourself up trying to justify why you're voting for a holocaust.

[–] oxjox@lemmy.ml 1 points 7 months ago (1 children)

You’re seriously lacking context and historical events and rejecting everything we have learned about the other candidate. Remove head from ass, please.

[–] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 12 points 7 months ago

lmao, back to pretending that your shitty opinions are a result of nuance and context.

If you've ever wondered what you would have done in Nazi Germany in the 30s, it's "support Hitler because socialists scared you".

[–] Infamousblt@hexbear.net 20 points 7 months ago

Know what's really fucking sad and frustrating? Americans like you who care more about some nebulous concept of "America" that has never existed than Palestinian lives who are being brutally killed every single day using American weapons and with American support. That's pretty disgusting
