@theshatterstone54@feddit.uk did mention the obvious reasons, but in the grand scheme of things I use runnit over systemD as it adheres more to the UNIX philosophy.

The fact that it doesn't use systemd, and it also uses its own package manager. Some people report faster startup times when not using systemd, some people do it for less "bloat".

It's the only rolling release distribution that is reliably stable. I don't use debian and arch because systemD, and artix and devuan are non-systemD, but forks, hence I do not prefer them.
