Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!

Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!

Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.

So, how’s it going?

Oh also, an update on the saga with Lemmy.world federation inbound to Lemmy.nz. Once the weekday volumes returned, we have struggled to make progress. Here's how many "activities" are pending to be sent from lemmy.world to lemmy.nz. It has made very little progress this week but it's slightly better than yesterday at this time. You can see a live version of this here.

graph showing lemmy.nz's number of activities behind lemmy.world in terms of federation from lemmy.world to lemmy.nz. Shows peak of 550k, dropping to about 109k currently, at a peak for the day

Here's one showing the time behind that we are. Currently there's a 10.5 hour lag from lemmy.world to lemmy.nz. It was lowest at about 9.5 hours around 10:30 this morning (NZDT), which is the best it's been in the last week. Slowly catching up. Live version of this one here.

graph showing the lag for content coming from lemmy.world to lemmy.nz, starting to increase a bit over a week ago, peaking at 1.2 days, then calling to our current position of around 10.5 hours. Each recent day this goes up and down by an hour or so, and hasn't made much progress recently but is starting to show signs of improvement as we head into the weekend where traffic is lower
