No Space or Willingness to Own a PortaCount?

  1. Qualitative fit testing is always an option.

HOW TO POST:

You DO NOT have to have a Fedia.io account to post here.

  1. New User? Mastodon user?, see this comment!

  2. Lemmy users can post the way they normally do to communities at !CPCSupport@fedia.io

  3. Like the rest of the Fediverse, pay attention to the domain, be it mastodon.social, fedia.io, or lemmy.world. Then pay attention to the username. [at] fediversefittester [at] fedia.io

  4. Make good use of the search tool! It's your primary way to navigate.

...what is a condensation particle counter used for anyway?

MODERATORS

The previous post's instructions you may have seen here has been simplified! Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to "More,"

  2. Click on "Copy Mbin URL", or, if that doesn't work, (usually because it's a comment or a federated post), click on "Copy Original URL".

(On Lemmy, these are the share icon and Fediverse icon respectively. Right click on them and select 'copy link' on your web browser.)

  1. Paste it into your home instance's search bar, and

  2. Click on reply on your home instance. You will be directed to the correct thread, or a thread will be created for you.

Bonus tip 1: On your home instance (probably Mastodon), there is usually a hamburger, or triple-dotted menu that will allow you to take you to the original post on the origin server.

Bonus tip 2: On Mastodon it's called "Open Original Page."

Bonus tip 3: Yes, the four steps can be done on any thread, or comment, posted here on Mbin from your home server, like Mastodon, if you were wondering.

Bonus tip 4: You should remember these tips, because you'll see this phrase a lot on the Fediverse:

This profile is from a federated server and may be incomplete. Browse more on the original instance.

Bonus tip 5: If you need to mention someone, do it in the comments.

Lemmy users should still just search for !CPCSupport@fedia.io and post that way.
