I (30M) recently got into a disagreement with my sister (28F). She was evicted from her apartment due to her inability to pay rent and asked me if she could stay at my apartment while she looked for a new place. I hesitantly agreed, but as soon as she moved in, I realized that she was not respecting my rules and boundaries. She would invite her friends over without asking me first and would play music loudly at night, which kept me up and interfered with my work.
I tried to talk to her about these issues, but she just dismissed my concerns and told me to stop being so uptight. I got fed up with her behavior and told her that she needed to find a new place to stay as soon as possible. She got upset with me and said I was being selfish and not taking her situation seriously. AITA for refusing to let my sister stay at my apartment and kicking her out?
NTA. You gave her a place to stay and gave her warnings about her behavior.
She's the one not taking her situation seriously.
