I held off on getting a Switch because I thought, “Surely they’ll release an updated version with a better SoC soon.” It’s been 7 years…

Maybe it was my mistake viewing this thing as a mobile device more than a game console.

Just get a steam deck. Switch emulation is pretty good on it and you get being able to emulate...gestures at everything

I believe the switch emulators support online local play. So if a game supports multiple switches connecting to each other without using the internet, then you can use this to play online instead with other emulator users.

However, if you want to connect to Nintendo’s servers that isn’t possible.

Think about it this way, you won't have to be paying $20 a year for Nintendo's servers and access to games you've been able to play for 40 years
