Maryland House Democrats introduced a controversial gun safety bill requiring gun owners to forfeit their ability to wear or carry without firearm liability insurance.

Introduced by Del. Terri Hill, D-Howard County, the legislation would prohibit the “wear or carry” of a gun anywhere in the state unless the individual has obtained a liability insurance policy of at least $300,000.

"A person may not wear or carry a firearm unless the person has obtained and it covered by liability insurance issued by an insurer authorized to do business in the State under the Insurance Article to cover claims for property damage, bodily injury, or death arising from an accident resulting from the person’s use or storage of a firearm or up to $300,000 for damages arising from the same incident, in addition to interest and costs,” the proposed Maryland legislation reads.

You've had 30 years for your lies to come true. I'm not giving you any more.

What lies? It's not like liberals saw the fascists coming. The Black Panthers warned you. The coal miners of West Virginia warned you. The Native Americans warned you. The lynched black men warned you. Entire black neighborhoods bombed, burned, slaughtered, buried, and forgotten -- even in the hearts of Tulsa and New York City -- all warned you. The LGBT community warned you. Hong Kong warned you. Ukraine warned you. The Arab Spring warned you. Gaza warned you. You should have listened decades ago. You still can't accept that it can happen here. It has never not happened here.

Leftists fought and died for every right you hold today. We will do it again if we have to; if you, the majority, once again fail to do your job of ensuring a peaceful, equitable, prosperous society. We are not soldiers. We don't pretend to be heroes. We are your neighbors. We come in all colors, sizes, and genders. When it's done, you'll forget all our names too, ignore our victories and losses, and claim all the credit.

Fascists have won the vote in easily a dozen countries this past decade. Sometimes they get voted out, sometimes without much violence, thankfully. They won in 2016 here. They barely lost in 2020. The South has warned you they would rise again since 1865. Now they're openly calling for Civil War II, and y'all do f*ck-all about it.

Yet you think those of us who actually care should be disarmed. You think we're the enemy. You think we want to fight and die? You think we want to hurt people? You think you've got this sh!tstorm handled, all peaceful-like?

You had better be right.

Love the flowery rhetoric but if guns solved these problems, why aren't they solved? Why are they worse in America than other comparatively wealthy countries?

Here you are once again promising that guns are the solution to violence and oppression by listing all the times they haven't worked.

Leftists fought and died for every right you hold today. We will do it again if we have to

Sounds like it should be easy to list examples then. What rights have extremely permissive gun laws given me that people in other wealthy countries don't have?

We don't pretend to be heroes

Pretend is literally all you do.

When it's done, you'll forget all our names too, ignore our victories and losses, and claim all the credit

Oh yeah what kind of complete scumbag would take the credit for other peoples bravery and sacrifices? Certainly not you, as you use the word "we" repeatedly while claiming you're responsible for every right I have.

Remind us all again, what did you do specifically and how was it only possible by selling guns to people who hit their wives? What was your role in the Black Panthers? What battles were you at during the civil war?

and y'all do f*ck-all about it.

You've shot nobody. You may as well pretend you're a hero for buying an iPhone because it could theoretically be used to form a resistance movement.

Isn't it funny that for all your self-aggrandizement, I could name 100 fascists and 1000 ways they've grabbed power yet not a single time you and your guns have stopped them.

Yet you think those of us who actually care should be disarmed

You seem to be confused.

I think that deeply unstable people, racist extremists, idiots and domestic abusers should be disarmed. I just don't care if proving you're not one of those things makes your hobby inconvenient.

You think they should all be armed indiscriminately because one day you're going to use those same laws to shoot your way to a solution.

But you won't.

Because gun lobby catch phrases don't make you a revolutionary.
