Sounds good. Coming soon 👍👍
The last update has been amazing so far! LOVE it, keep it up ❤️ Since we’re on the topic of swiping, I wish Memmy had the possibility to go back by swiping right from anywhere on the screen, not just from the edge. This is an incredibly smooth and nice way to browse and I really miss it from Apollo (actually even the official Reddit app has it). Once I got used to that everything else feels so clunky. Maybe you can consider it at least as an option. 🙏
Edit: to clarify it could be possible to for example move the up/downvote to the left swipe and leave out the comment button for the long press menu.
Actually I was going to play with this today. Just to verify, you’d be wanting the swipes for comments to be disabled for this right? Or would you just need to be up at the post for it to work? Obviously both of the two together wouldn’t work well if at all
Also going to experiment with this only working in the tab bar.
I’m trying the new swipe now and I love it! As you wrote in the release notes a full screen swipe is planned and that would be even better.
Another usability wish from me is being able to increase the text size even more. I use a small screen (iphone mini) and even at the largest font it is too small in some conditions (for my bad eyes…)
Also maybe being able to disable the bottom icon texts? With a larger font they already cover two rows and unnecessarily remove more screen space.
Thank you for this update!
While you were writing I just made an edit to my comment, yep I meant everywhere, post or comment section. An idea is to have options in the settings for “everywhere right swipe = back” and if that is on then an option for left swipe: comment OR up/downvote. Thank you for even considering this, this got my hopes up! 😊
Also the tab bar idea is cool, I just can’t imagine the feeling of it yet. And hope it doesn’t interfere with iOSs swipe bar for app switching.
Fantastic 👏
