Replacement for r/steamdeck_linux.

As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:
[Flair] My post title

The following is a list of suggested flairs:
[Discussion] - General discussion.
[Help] - A request for help or support.
[News] - News about the deck.
[PSA] - Sharing important information.
[Game] - News / info about a game on the deck.
[Update] - An update to a previous post.
[Meta] - Discussion about this community.

Some more Steam Deck specific flairs:
[Boot Screen] - Custom boot screens/videos.
[Selling] - If you are selling your deck.

These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.

It's worth noting that the top 100 games do contain a lot of popular multiplayer games, and multiplayer games are less likely to work on Steam Deck/Linux due to anticheat issues. So games outside of the top 100 will generally have a higher compatibility rate. For comparison, only about 5% of the top 1000 games are broken on Linux according to Protondb

I also think it's disingenuous to say they don't work on steam deck, as installing windows would solve the issue

It's a Linux issue overall and that if I was a betting man I'd say we're just a handful of years away from that being solved.

Depends. I don't know if kernel anticheats will ever work, but I also would refuse to install any so it doesn't really matter.

I'd argue it's a developer issue, since they're the ones refusing to support Linux

Installing windows is lame and ruins the console like experience that helps make deck popular. Also, the anti cheat won't be solved until Linux anti cheat is used by the games and no sooner. That won't happen until a lot more people are on Linux.
