Is there a way to block access to and from all of Google's servers? (lemmy.world)

I'd like to do this mainly as an experiment.
To see how well the web works without anything served by or data sent to Google.
Is there a list of IP ranges I can just block in my hosts file?
A Firefox extension?
A script?
