Lmao, not a piracy problem. Just the Yemenis carrying out legitimate naval interdiction operations and interference from Israel's allies. Mfkers pretending this is a piracy problem like off the coast of Somalia when it's just ships affiliated with Israel being interdicted.

I am going to have a maybe controversial opinion here on hexbear chapo lemmy and say that uh, I do not like the state of Israel and I do not like the state of China...

...but uh what? This is a nothing burger. Even if a Chinese ship is on an anti piracy mission, and even if this all actually happened as described...

Is China a major ally or in a military alliance with, or even known to militarily cooperate with Israel or its allies?

... No?

Was China probably interested in doing anti piracy for its own state owned shipping company and those that are based in and/or operated by and/or largely shipping to itself and its regional allies / more friendly states?

Yes?

Wow, what a shocking story /s.

This is just plain old geopolitics, you dont even need to have an ideology, just a basic grasp of like international politics 101 to see this.

EDIT: Oh right, I forgot that the vast majority of human beings are not really capable of entertaining any idea more complicated than Our Team Good, Other Team BAD, how silly of me.

I also do not "like" the state of China, however I am interested in the positive things they do for the people living there, and critical of the negative things.

EDIT: Thank you for the updoot kind stranger. DAE think everyone else is an idiot doodoo head, unlike me, a euphoric enlightened redditor.

Please go back to reddit. Even when you make a good point you somehow do it in the most insufferable way possible.

My favorite thing about this post is that I saw it earlier today, with the edit already in place after 2 comments that weren't even harsh. Please just use reddit-logo

You sure people don't just think your theoretical grasp of geopolitics is outstripped by your simplistic take itt? I would remain silent about others knowledge until you demonstrate something to be arrogant about
