A Republican district attorney has appealed a court ruling that determined that an 1849 Wisconsin law does not ban abortions, a decision that cleared the way for abortions to resume in the state.

Sheboygan County District Attorney Joel Urmanski on Tuesday appealed the ruling from a Dane County judge that said there is no state ban on abortions. The appeal was expected and the case is likely to ultimately be decided by the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Urmanski asked that the appeal be heard in the state’s Waukesha-based 2nd District Court of Appeals, where three of the four judges are conservative. Appeals are heard by three-judge panels.

I really would like the republicans to stop wasting so much time trying to ban abortion. But they're stupid and cruel so I guess we're in it until they die.

The dog finally caught the car (roe overturned) so now they think that if they try this shit long enough, theyll eventually get what they want. And unfortunately this will not end when these old assholes die because the ideological disease has already spread to younger generations.

It actually hasn't, in large part. Typically generations get more conservative as they age. So far millennials have bucked that trend. Fingers crossed it continues.

And millennials are dinosaurs compared to Gen Z.

It has and you’re right that some people will take up the cause. Millennials and especially Gen Z really look at the world differently and few will pick up this mantel.
