Interesting this links to the internet archive for something posted yesterday
Probably to bypass a pay wall or data collection.
I assumed it was possibly the former, but the 2nd point is a great one I'd not considered
In contrast to the original site, the web archive does not want to give you cookies. Also, in case the article is deleted, changed or put behind a paywall, no one needs to do anything as the original is still in place here.
While decent points, that's generally not how the internet works, and violates rule 9 in a community with only 9 rules...
