Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!

Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!

Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.

So, how’s it going?

Heading off into Queen Charlotte sound until Monday, the conditions are ideal as well.

Spent some time around there a few weeks ago... (not kayaking though)... beautiful part of the country.

Have fun!

First I'd heard of it and so had to google it just now. Wow! Looks amazing. Stat safe, have fun :)

I might show my ignorance here but do you have 2 oars? Wouldn't you only need one? Are they for different use cases or is one a backup?

I don't think I could ever will myself to kayak in open water, but I'm very jealous of the adventure you're about to have, the area and weather look stunning!

It's two halves of one paddle, they come apart for easy transport.

Sorry I mean you have two halves across the boat and another halves on the back

That is a spare, yes.

It looks like there's another attached to the back of the kayak?

That one is a spare, yes.
