You know what? I took a lot of shit from lib friends for not voting for Biden. But not long after Biden got into office, whenever I talk about not voting for democrats those same friends seem a lot more empathetic. Anytime "bideneconomics" is mention in r/politics there is a ton of comments going "pfft suuure" or there is very little comments in the thread. Which kinda shows that even the ultra libs have given up defending him on that front. So I dont think you're wrong there.
