Yea I do get a little tired of all the Windows-hate haha

Yeah these ads that they shoved in my start menu and lockscreen are totally legit! I can't wait to consoom!

It's so goddamn annoying because I can block it on my personal computer but then they get me at work.

I was pretty ambivalent on Linux until then, but between that and the growing support for Linux gaming I'm going to have to make the plunge.

Don’t hurt Microsoft’s fee-fees.

Yep cause my comment was "windows is perfect"

Didn't take me much effort to reach a near ad-free experience within the OS anyway

You're missing the point. It shouldn't take any effort. An operating system is not a place ads should be.

[–] NENathaniel@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 year ago

I'm not saying they should be, I'm saying it's easily avoidable

It's not hate. It's just that when you know things, windows is simply insufferable and not working. And they make the system worse with each update.

"not working"?

amazing perspective

unfortunately, that's also my experience. I have to stick with Windows because of a few programs I use professionally, and dual-booting would be annoying

[–] Donkter@lemmy.world -1 points 1 year ago

It's ironic cause it is almost guaranteed most people on here use windows.

It's going to be the death of lemmy's potential growth.
