Finally a extension worth to buy when you’re a photographer… got dame fucking microSD crap reader >.> Hope they will integrate this in the next revisions so that you don’t to have this as a “addon card”

@Grey08 @OsrsNeedsF2P Sounds like you just don't really 'get' the philosophy of the Framework laptop.

Sure I get the philosophy behind that but you will never fill the bandwidth of that usb port with a card reader and how I understood that draft it is the slow card reader version. So it doesn’t make sense to waste a usb-c port for a usb 2.0 Card Reader. Should it be a SD-Card express reader it will also not use the full bandwidth but is more useful as a usb-c dongle. And considering you have only 4Ports (yes the 16 has 6 port I know) You better of with a integrated. At least you can’t lose it when you’re travelling.

What do you mean integrate? The framework doesn't have any ports on it by default, that's kinda the point. I don't want an SD card reader, only a micro SD card reader, why should I pay for one?

Yeah and for some ports I must say it is a bad design decision speaking of contact resistance for charging or communication with equipment.
