I for one would never become a troop, regardless of my material circumstances. Being born in a white upper middle class liberal bubble had nothing to do with my interest in Marxism.

I am somehow the great man but I'm not because thats not real, unless its me and my opinions.

If you were born in a different place in the world, to a different family and different community. Youd be radically different and theres no way of knowing you'd fall for American propaganda/join the military or not.

I think there's a lot of spoiled American leftie who think they are inherently better than everyone and would never join the military, which I believe is anti-materialist.

I feel like you can use this line to defend Wehrmacht troops. It's shit. It's still wrong to join imperialist militaries even if you were born and raised in conditions that encouraged it. I was born in conditions that encouraged it and I still didn't, so yeah I am better than the troops.
