TikTok is practically an American intelligence asset because everything is inside the US and operated by American spooks. I remember reading that China approached TikTok officials to create subtle propaganda accounts (ie not listed as state operated) and TikTok denied the request, so it seems that china really only has access to information they’re given or backdoored (though if they have to ask… maybe it’s harder to get)
